President's Message:
Greetings from the Lone Star (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. Thank you for visiting our website and learning more about our chapter and our commitment to serving the Williamson and Bell counties through transformational programming over the past decade.
The Links, Incorporated was established in 1946 and is one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of African Americans and other people of African ancestry. This international, not-for-profit corporation has over 17,000+ members, 299+ chapters, and 1 million+ documented service hours that members contribute annually.
The Lone Star (TX) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated are transforming communities through service focusing on the key areas of Services to Youth, Health & Human Services, International Trends & Services; National Trends & Services; and the Arts. Over the last 10 years, we have delivered and executed successful award winning programming such as our “Full STEAM Ahead Academy” to Upward Bound students in Williamson & Bell Counties; “Life Mastery Program” to Round Rock Independent School District students of Success High School; and “Gaming & Coding Explosion (GACE)” in partnership with select schools in Round Rock and Killeen School Districts. These programs have enriched, empowered, and exposed the youth in the communities we serve. Through our community outreach, mentoring, and support for the next generation, the Lone Star (TX) chapter has awarded many thousands of dollars in scholarships for University attendance.
As we continue to expand our reach in the our community, we look forward to YOUR partnership and future participation. Whether, it is a local heart walk, book drive, local civic event; fundraising for programming/scholarship, or supporting our international initiatives that include birthing kits and worldwide school assistance – WE are driving programs that are designed for maximum impact.
We appreciate any helping hand in making a difference and thank you for visiting our website.
